Proposed Data Center:
The proposed data center is a major decision with long‑term implications for Pacific. I am committed to conducting a thorough review of the proposal, engaging residents, local businesses, and subject‑matter experts, and carefully evaluating economic, environmental, infrastructure, and quality‑of‑life impacts. My focus will be on making a well‑informed decision that reflects community input and serves the best interests of the entire city.
Fiscal Responsibility & Transparency:
As revenues tighten, disciplined and transparent financial management is more important than ever. I will apply my budgeting experience to prioritize essential services, require competitive bidding, and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely. I am committed to open budgeting practices so residents understand how funds are allocated and how financial decisions are made.
City Hall Systems and Support:
City Hall systems require modernization. Core services such as billing, permitting, and licensing should be accessible online. Meeting recordings need improved audio quality, and staff must have reliable IT support. These upgrades are essential to efficient operations and public service.
Infrastructure & Water Reliability:
Reliable infrastructure is essential to public health, safety, and quality of life. Pacific must invest in repairing and upgrading aging water mains, sewer lines, and stormwater systems. Recurring sewer backups—particularly those impacting residents’ basements—are unacceptable and must be addressed. I will advocate for targeted funding, long‑term planning, and responsible maintenance to put an end to these issues and ensure dependable service for all residents.
